CHARACTER
Character Name: Mitsuki Izumi
Age: 21
Species: Human
Canon: IDOLiSH7 (a mobile rhythm game/visual novel)
Canon Point: just after 2.7.3, "Nothingness Before Our Eyes"
Character Info: Wiki! Let me know if this is insufficient, I'm happy to pad it out. The basics of his history are:
>early life involved a happy home, parents who ran their own business, and the birth of his little brother Iori who he adores most of the time
>Mitsuki's dream of becoming an idol was born when he was young (probably around five or six) and an idol named Zero came to his parents' shop. People gathered to see him and even though no one asked him to, Zero gave an impromptu performance in the shop. Mitsuki saw the way people adored him and the way he adored his fans and knew he wanted that for himself.
>Unfortunately, Mitsuki failed every audition he went to. He was only able to achieve his dream because the president of a talent agency scouted his brother and Iori refused to sign unless the agency also signed Mitsuki. Mitsuki didn't learn about this until later and while he was upset at first, he understands why Iori did what he did and that it's just part of who Iori is--an interminable meddler who really does want the best for the people he cares about.
>After joining IDOLiSH7, Mitsuki improves as a singer, dancer, and performer, but it's discovered that his real gift is as a "spotlight," as one of his mentors calls it. He's able to keep conversations going, to host and to channel the audience's attention wherever it needs to be going. Unfortunately, this also turns out to be a source of disappointment when he overhears some girls who are fans of other members of the group saying he talks too much and he's not interesting. Hearing this destroys his confidence and sends him into a kind of depression. He's lifted out of this by his best friend in the group later on and is able to continue forward.
>There are only two parts to the story released so far so while there will be additional material released about Mitsuki in the future, it won't be for quite some time and it's very unlikely that it will change his history so while I may need to canon update him at some point, it won't alter anything in this application or change his motivation for joining the carnival.
Personality: Mitsuki is, at his heart, a hard working performer. Unfortunately, he wasn't blessed with most of the things that make a performer successful: innate talent, extraordinary charm, or exceptional looks. He's short, cute but not overly attractive, and while he can dance and sing, it's only because he's worked his ass off to be able to do so. His hard work and ability to get on with many different types of people are what really makes him successful as an idol. The group's management often comments that Mitsuki is the member of the group who most sees things from the fans' perspective, probably because for so long he was one.

That doesn't mean Mitsuki's willing to be taken as some kind of surrogate fangirl, however. Out of all the guys in the group, Mitsuki is also acknowledged as being the most aggressively masculine. He is often put into crossdressing roles because of his size and cute features and has even been mistaken for a woman before by the press, but offstage and outside of those moments he's a rough and tumble older brother type. He does also occasionally display more violent tendencies, including getting into a fight with another group member that involved him doing a jump kick at him and threatening to beat the shit out of someone who disrupted an IDOLiSH7 press conference. Yamato, the oldest member of the group and the one who Mitsuki tried to kick, has said that Mitsuki's punches "don't need to get any heavier than they already are." The other members of the group also voted Mitsuki as the most devilish among them last year at Halloween, though in the end they agreed it was more because he gives off an air of impishness because of the way his appearance contrasts with his personality.

Underneath this, however, is an incredibly insecure young man who worries about being a burden to his fellow idols and becomes paralyzed with fear when confronted with people who don't like him or who are aware of his weakness. It's from this emotional position that he will be joining the carnival; he's lost all confidence in his MC abilities because he heard some fans talking about hating the way he organized the group's web series and is feeling lost and directionless, so the chance to do something else where he won't be a burden to others will have a lot of appeal.

Abilities: Mitsuki is a baseline human whose only real talent is for directing attention to others so hopefully there's no need to cap that. Oh, and he's a certified pastry chef. His parents own a very fancy patisserie in Japan called font chocolat and he trained to be able to help them prior to getting scouted for IDOLiSH7.

CARNIVAL
Soul Colour: Mitsuki's game theme color is orange so orange! It's a particularly light peachy orange, though.
Ideal Jobs: I'd like to have him start as some sort of showman. It's the most appropriate for his skills and it's the main reason I thought he'd be a good fit for this game. I'm not sure where he'd be best, but if there's some kind of musical performing group similar to an idol group, it's where he'd be happiest.
Relevant Experience: Mitsuki is an idol in a group called IDOLiSH7, so he has training in singing, dancing, minor acrobatics and wirework, some acting, quick costume changes, all the little things that idols are required to do. That being said, he's not exceptionally good at any of these things except the acting and MCing. Oh, and crossdressing gags.
Reason for Joining: Mitsuki's process for ending up in the carnival was sort of two-fold. As per the test drive, he may have had something to do with damaging a mirror in the maze (he totally did and won't deny it). He didn't realize at the time that he'd be required to go to such extreme lengths to pay that back, but the saying is that it's seven years of bad luck, right? In addition to that, however, he was recruited a bit by Joker, but that only made the transition easier. How long his contract is for would depend on how much the Ringmaster values her mirrors, but if there's any carrot to be offered to him for this, it would most certainly involve improving or solidifying his career as an idol.
